In Flower Power, I’ll show you how to paint flowers step by step using the wet-on-wet technique. You don’t need previous experience painting flowers. We’ll start with the basics and build up to more detailed designs.

You’ll learn how much product to use, how to move your brush and how to blend colours to create soft, shaded petals.

Lesson 1 — Start with the basics
Get to know the wet-on-wet technique, learn how to control your product and practise blending and shading.

Lesson 2 — Blend colours and add a background
Follow a blue flower design and learn how to combine colours and create a background.

Lesson 3 — Build your skills
Try a four-colour design and learn how to bring the petals together into a fuller floral composition.

Lesson 4 — Paint an orchid and a tulip
Put your new skills into practice with two more flower designs, adding details step by step.

This course is for nail techs who want to start painting flowers or improve their blending and shading.

If you’ve tried before and struggled, you can pause, replay and practise each part at your own pace.

• White painting gel — essential for this technique.
